Rip Copy Protected DVDs

Ripping a DVD will let you save a copy into your hard disk. Another advantage of ripping a DVD is that the copied or ripped file is compressed for more than 50% of the original file size and you can also choose what will the format be for your ripped file.

If you want to rip copy protected DVDs you need to have the right ripping tool that is capable of decrypting the copy protection of your DVD or you wont succeed in ripping it. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to rip copy protected DVDs using Plato DVD Ripper.

Downloading Youtube HQ videos

Just recently I discovered how to download Youtube HQ Videos or the MP4 version of the Youtube videos. When you watch videos in Youtube you will notice that some of the videos can now be viewed in high quality mode by just simply clicking on the HQ button in the lower right corner of the video.

When I was looking for a guide on how to burn Youtube videos to DVD I made the discovery that you just need a browser plugin to dowload the MP4 version of the video which is better in quality compared to the usual FLV version.

Installing DVD43 in Windows Vista 64

Last week I was trying to install DVD43 in my new Windows Vista 64bit machine but unfortunately I got an error that it is not compatible with windows 64bit version. For those who doesn’t know what a DVD43 is it’s a free DVD decrypter that will run in the background and unlock the copy protection your DVD before your DVD copying software can copy them.

I’ve tried to download the latest version of DVD43 but to no avail. I researched for any possible work around on how to install it in a 64bit machine but i found out that the developer of DVD43 haven’t created a version yet that will work with the 64bit version. So I guess the best alternative for those who are running windows 64bit is AnyDVD but unfortunately this program is not for free. Goodluck!
